Textual Study on the Ownership Seals of Zhejiang Modern Book Collectors Seen at Overseas Libraries

文章介绍了海外图书馆所见的共64位近代浙江藏书家之鉴藏印,包括不载于一般著录的如陈其荣、曹秉章、堵申父和鲁迅叔祖父周锡璋,以及新发现的马鉴等,略述印主生平事迹,希望有助于发掘被遗忘的近代浙江藏书家,传承江南文脉,也订正和增补一些藏书家之斋堂字号,并促进地方藏书家及藏书文化等相关研究。

This paper is an introduction on ownership seals of 64 Zhejiang modern book collectors seen at overseas libraries including those not included in the general description,such as Chen Qirong,Cao Bingzhang,Du Shenfu,Lu Xun's uncle and grandfather Zhou Xizhang,and the newly discovered Ma Jian.With a short biography of every owner and a brief description of their scholarship and book collecting activities,this paper may be helpful to uncover some forgotten book collectors as well as to add and correct information on existing records.Hopefully,it may also promote the study of local history in general and the culture of book collection in particular.
