Demand Status of Long-term Care Insurance for the Urban Older Adults in Jiangsu Province and Its Influencing Factors

目的:调查江苏省城镇老年人长期护理保险需求状况并分析其影响因素,为完善长期护理保险制度提供建议。方法:采用多阶段抽样法,对1514名江苏省60岁及以上城镇老年人进行问卷调查,应用卡方检验和logistic回归模型,分析老年人长期护理保险需求的影响因素。结果:城镇老年人长期护理保险需求高者占39%。有住院经历(OR=1097.730)、患病对生活影响很大(OR=14.614)、目前健康状况差(OR=8.339)、视力情况差(OR=3.755)、丧偶(OR=2.234)、医疗保险减轻经济压力(OR=2.910)、担心养老问题(OR=1.672)、居民人均年收入高(OR=1.616)的老年人长期护理保险需求高。结论:江苏省城镇老年人长期护理保险需求高。应针对老年人的需求现况,从个体与社会支持多方面采取综合措施完善长期护理保险制度,满足老年人日益增长的护理服务需求。

Objective:To investigate the demand status of long-term care insurance for the urban older adults in Jiangsu and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide suggestions for improving the long-term care insurance system.Methods:Using a multi-stage sampling method,1514 urban older adults aged 60 and above in Jiangsu province were selected for the questionnaire survey.The chi-square test and logistic regression model were used to analyze the influencing factors of long-term care insurance demand of the older adults.Results:The demand for“high”long-term care insurance for urban elderly was 39%.Having hospitalization experience(OR=1097.730),illness that had a great impact on life(OR=14.614),poor current health status(OR=8.339),poor eyesight(OR=3.755),widowhood(OR=2.234),medical insurance to relieve economic pressure(OR=2.910),worrying about the pension problem(OR=1.672),and having a high per capita annual income of residents(OR=1.616)of the older adults had a higher demand for long-term care insurance.Conclusion:The demand for long-term care insurance for the urban older adults in Jiangsu is high.In response to the current needs of the elderly,comprehensive measures should be taken from individual and social support to improve the long-term care insurance system and meet the growing demand for care services of the older adults.
