由石刻看古代陇南兴学尊师的社会风气

On the Social Ethos of Promoting Learning and Respecting Teachers in Ancient Longnan from Stone Inscriptions

陇南各县一直保留着尊师、重教、兴学的风气。宋代以来,有关这方面的碑文不少,而且记述了一些即使在今天看来也十分有眼光且难能可贵的作法,可以大大充实甘肃教育史的内容。其中记载了一些清官良吏对教育的重视,如创建、扩建学校,为贫困学生提供生活及应试的经费等。有几个县的有关碑文中提出以高额的薪金与各种补贴引进外地优秀教师,并对优秀学生分等进行奖励。还有些教泽碑、德教碑,记载了德高望重、学养深厚的老师辛勤从教,培育出一批一批优秀学生的事迹。这对于弘扬陇南艰苦奋斗的精神、大力普及教育,提高民族素质有很大的意义。

All counties in Longnan have always maintained the social ethos of respecting teachers,emphasizing education and promoting learning.Since the Song Dynasty,there have been many inscriptions on this aspect,and they describe some insightful and valuable practices even today,which can greatly enrich the content of the history of education in Gansu Province.It records the attention paid by some outstanding officials to education,such as the establishment and expansion of schools,and the provision of living and examination funds for poor students.In the inscriptions of several counties,it is proposed to introduce excellent teachers from other places with high salaries and various subsidies,and reward excellent students by grade.There are also some inscriptions that record the deeds of teachers with high moral integrity and profound quality who have worked hard to teach and cultivated a batch of excellent students.These are of great significance for carrying forward the spirit of hard work in Longnan,vigorously popularizing education and improving national quality.
