跨学科视域下通感解读

Interdisciplinary interpretation of synaesthesia

通感是一种语言现象,也是一种认知现象,因此可从生理学、心理学和认知语言学三个方面对通感进行跨学科解读。从生理学角度看,大脑独特的结构和信息处理机制是通感产生的生理基础;从心理学角度看,客观世界物理性质的相似性和心理反应的相似性是通感产生的心理基础;从认知语言学的角度看,通感和隐喻有相同的认知机制,两者都涉及映射过程,映射都呈单向性,且单向映射的成因大致相同。在语言翻译的过程中,不仅应注意通感在不同语言中的共同性,更应注意通感在不同语言中因地域文化、认知方式不同而导致的差异性。

Being a phenomenon of language as well as cognition,Synaesthesia can be interdisciplinarily interpreted from the perspectives of physiology,psychology and cognitive linguistics.In terms of physiology,the unique structure of human brain and the mechanism of information processing is the physiological basis of synaesthesia;In terms of psychology,the similarity of physical property of the objective world and psychological reaction is the psychological basis of synaesthesia;In terms of cognitive linguistics,synaesthesia and metaphor have the same cognitive mechanism:both involve mapping process,the mappings of both are unidirectional,and the reasons of their unidirectional mappings are roughly the same.In the course of language translation,not only the commonality of synaesthesia in different languages,but also the differences of synaesthesia in different languages due to their regional culture and cognitive pattern should be taken into consideration.
