摘要
英国影片《法国中尉的女人》塑造出一个活在19世纪的20世纪女性萨拉形象。通过对比维多利亚时代女性的"保守"与"反叛",揭示出萨拉的离经叛道以及虚伪的社会道德;加入男女主人公的扮演者安娜和迈克的"婚外情"故事,通过"戏中戏"的形式让两个时代互为观照,使得现代女性安娜与萨拉形成了"互文"关系,从而保留并加深了福尔斯原名小说对女性"自由"与"存在"精神的时代剖析。萨拉的形象是不确定的,更是符号化的,体现出影片对女性命题的哲学探究。
British film The French Lieutenant’s Woman portrayed the image of a 20th century woman called Sarah living in the 19th century.Comparing the conservative and rebel of Victorian women,the film revealed Sarah’s deviant and hypocritical social morality.By adding the story of Extramarital Affairs of Anna and Mike,the protagonists and heroines,the two times looked at each other in the form of“play in play”,which made the modern female Anna and Sarah form an inter-textual relationship,so as to retain and deepen the era analysis of women’s freedom and existence spirit in John Fowles’original novels.Sarah’s image was uncertain and symbolic,which reflected the film’s philosophical exploration of women’s topic.
