《水浒传》中的阳谷知县是一个不应该被忽略的小人物。金圣叹认为阳谷知县"不愧进士出身",是有一定道理的。他虽被称为"受贿不理",但对打虎英雄武松却十分爱惜,不仅将之提拔为都头,在武松杀掉西门庆自首后,又设法周全武松使之从轻发落免于死罪。阳谷知县这一形象塑造得丰满而复杂。
