A Room with Colour-The Interview with Zhang Enli

“有颜色的房子”是张恩利首次在西南地区举办的大型回顾展,展出作品70余件,涵盖1990年代至2000年代初的城市人物肖像作品,2000年代至2010年代对于日常之物的描绘,近几年创作的抽象绘画和空间绘画装置等。张恩利每个阶段的作品都独具其风格,但创作的主题或技法上的改变并不突然,而是贯穿其创作风格的自然转变,艺术家自始至终保持着对人文、日常物、生活、空间的持续关注和关怀。《当代美术家》与艺术家张恩利对谈,展开他对创作理念、方法的探讨。

"A Room with Colour " is Zhang Enli’s first large-scale retrospective exhibition in southwest region. More than 70 works are exhibited, including urban portraits from 1990 s to the early 2000 s, depictions of daily objects from the 2000 s to the 2010 s, and abstract paintings and space painting installations of recent years as well.Zhang Enli’s works of different periods have unique styles, and there are not sudden changes in the theme or technique of creation, but a natural change throughout his creative style. The artist has kept a continuous concern on humanity, daily objects, life,and space. Contemporary Artists talks with Zhang Enli, discussing his creative concepts and methods.
