阳明学与南靖

Yamgming Studies and Nanjing County

明正德间,南靖县境内发生山民暴乱,王阳明率兵莅境讨平,并析割里图而添置新县,加上其门人、后学亦曾到南靖县任职、讲学,因此,南靖是王阳明过化之地、阳明心学的传播地。从王阳明在靖邑治乱,革弊补益;其门生胡希周、后学陈宗愈担任南靖知县,顺应民心,广施仁政;后学李材、黄浩在斯地传播心学,教化民众三个方面,进一步阐述了王阳明及其门生、后学在南靖经济、社会、文化等方面发展中的积极贡献。

During the reign of Emperor Zhengde(1506-1521)of Ming Dynasty,the mountainous villagers rioted in Nanjing County(located in now Fujian Province).Wang Yangming led an army there and quelled the rebellion.After that he established a new county out of the former administrative institutions there.After some of Wang Yangmig’s disciples and later followers served as officials or lectured in this county,it thus became a place shaped by his thought and where his studies were disseminated.The thesis elaborates on the positive contributions in terms of economy,society and culture of Wang and his followers in the region,including Wang Yangming’s county pacification,reformation and innovation,the governance in Nanjing County of his disciples Hu Xizhou and Chen Zongyu,and the preaching and dissemination of his Mind Study by two followers Li Cai and Huang Hao.
