“中国疆域沿革史”历史书写发展脉络研究

Historical Development of the Writing of“History of Chinese Ter⁃ritory”

任何历史书写都是时代的产物,也是时代需求的反映,“中国疆域沿革史”的历史书写也是如此。受到“天下观”和“疆域观”的影响,中国古代并不存在现代意义的“疆域沿革史”。民国时期,基于中国传统的“政区沿革”的研究,形成了真正意义上的以王朝疆域为描述对象的“中国疆域沿革史”的历史书写,其目的在于唤起民族自豪感以及救亡图存。1949年之后,曾存在多种“中国疆域沿革史”的历史书写,差异在于涉及的“历史上中国疆域”的范围。最终谭其骧提出的方案占据了主导,因为其满足了对内强化民族团结、激发爱国主义精神,对外抵制各种对我国领土无理要求的时代需求。

The writing of any history is a product of a given time,or a response to the needs of that time.The writing of the“History of Chinese Territory”is no exception.In ancient China,such writing in a modern sense did not exist as Chinese historians were subject to the influence of the tradi⁃tional view of the world as“tianxia”,or world under heaven with no clearly-defined boundaries.In the Republican years(1911-1949),the writing of the history of Chinese territory got really started on the basis of the traditional studies of China’s“administrative divisions”in different dynasties.The writing was for the purpose of arousing national pride and saving the Chinese nation.Since 1949,there have been several attempts at writing the history of Chinese territory,though they differ in views about the scope of Chinese territory in history.Ultimately a consensus is reached on the views of Chen Qixiang,as they cater to the needs of our time in consolidating national solidarity,promoting patriot⁃ism,and rejecting illegitimate claims on Chinese territory by foreign countries.
