Three Tall Women by American playwright Edward Albee demonstrates different forms of age identity,including the passing,displacement and transcendence of age.The three-in-one form of this play presents the continuities and disconti-nuities of age division,where,detached from corresponding age segment,the floating attributes of age travel and inhabit other segments.It follows that aging is no longer an experience exclusively owned by old age.Rather,it comes to be felt during the whole course of life.Interconnected through this,though divided by age,different age cohorts develop behaviors and thoughts contrary to age norms.
