In recent years with the application of molecular biotechnology in plant taxonomy,a modern classification system of angiosperm has been basically established based on molecular phylogenetic studies.Sugarbeet is also divided from Polygonaceae of Polygonales in the original classification system into Amaranthaceae of Dianthus.This paper will present the effort to give the brief introduction on them.
