南非公共档案馆馆藏华侨华人档案介绍与评析

The Archival Documents on Overseas Chinese in South Africa’s Public Archives

南非公共档案馆保藏的华侨华人档案,内容丰富,开放程度高,是南非华侨华人史研究的重要史料来源。南非的国家自动化档案信息检索系统,便利了档案文件的检索和利用。本文在查阅部分档案的基础上,利用档案信息检索系统,以"中国"或者"中国人/华人"等为关键词,检索和分析了南非公共档案馆的馆藏华侨华人档案。结合国内外对20世纪初南非华工的研究可以看出,国内对南非公共档案馆的档案资源利用仍嫌不足。20世纪初的华工在南非的经历、种族隔离时期南非华人和华侨社会生活、种族隔离政府对华关系等课题研究,都可以在利用南非公共档案馆馆藏档案的基础上加以深化。

The Public Archives in South Africa,which are highly accessible to the public and researchers and contain a variety of files and documents,are Africa’s major sources for overseas Chinese studies.The National Automated Archival Information Retrieval System(NAAIRS) facilitates the retrieval and usage of the files.By searching words like "China" or "Chinese" in the system and analyzing parts of the files,this paper introduces these documents in detail.Currently,the archival sources in South Africa have not been fully used.Subjects such as the experiences of Chinese laborers in the early 20th century,the social lives of the Chinese in apartheid South Africa,and the regime’s policy towards China,can be deepened by employing them.
