由顾锡东等人改编的绍剧《孙悟空三打白骨精》在浙江省第二届戏曲观摩汇演中获得了剧本一等奖等多种奖项。后经周恩来总理的推荐,浙江绍剧团赴中南海演出。这出传统戏的改编之所以如此成功,在于剧作家正确的改编策略:增添了新的情节,加剧了矛盾冲突;人物性格判然有别,舞台形象生动有趣;反映时代风貌,风格沉郁悲壮;以历史唯物主义思想指导传统剧目的整理。
