《红楼梦》早期抄本均题为“脂砚斋重评石头记”,经过戚序本以来的“消灭脂砚斋”运动,到程甲本刻本出现,脂砚斋苦心孤诣的特意署名被删去。一直到了胡适之后,才将曹雪芹自传之说渐次说成是真事,而原本与此书作者关系最为紧密的脂砚斋反而渐不为人所识。

The early handwritten copy of A Dream of Red Mansion was named"Zhiyanzhai's Re-comments on the Story of the Stone".Through the compaign of eliminating Zhiyanzhai's signature on the book since Qixu version till the block printed book of Chengjia version appeared,Zhiyanzhai's name which he added deliberately,was deleted.The book wasn't gradually considered as Cao Xueqin's autobiography until this viewpoint was proposed by Hu Shi.However,Zhiyanzhai who has the closest connections with the author,was becoming unknown gradually.
