柞蚕新品种“豫早4号”的选育

Breeding of a New tussah Variety Yuzao No.4

河南省蚕业科学研究院以豫早1号和豫早3号为亲本,经6年10代选育成一化性柞蚕新品种“豫早4号”。该品种为黄蚕血统,孵化齐、眠起齐一、食叶活泼、体质强健、好养、高产。与对照种101相比,“豫早4号”龄期缩短3~4 d,单位产茧量提高8.92%,鲜茧出丝率高出1.35个百分点,茧丝长长出317.28 m。

A new tussah variety Yuzao No.4 was bred by Henan Institute of Sericulture Science after 6 years and 10 generations,with Yucao No.1 and Yuzao No.3 being parents.The new variety belongs to the yellow silkworm bloodline.It has such characteristics as uniform hatching,uniform dormancy,eating leaves actively,strong physique,easy to raise and high yield.Compared with the control variety 101,the instar of Yuzao No.4 is shortened for 3 to 4 days,its cocoon yield per unit increased by 8.92%.The silk yield of its fresh cocoon is 1.35%higher and its cocoon filament length is 317.28 m longer than the control.
