Chief physician Qiu Jian is the fourth batch of instructors of inheriting the academic experience of veteran experts of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in China,the third batch of national excellent TCM CLINICAL TALENts,the famous veteran TCM experts at the grass-roots level in China,and the academic leader of the key spleen-stomach diseases specialty with the characteristics of TCM at the grass-roots level in China.Chief physician Qiu has been engaged in the clinical practice of TCM for 37 years,and is good at treating spleen-stomach diseases as well as difficult and miscellaneous diseases in internal medicine.Chief physician Qiu practices medical skills meticulously and makes good use of classical prescriptions,with rich clinical experience accumulated in practice.He has a unique opinion on the clinical application of Shengjiang powder in the treatment of exogenous fever.Chief physician Qiu believes that the pathogenesis of“stagnant heat”runs through every stage of exogenous fever,which can be induced by the attack of the six factors in nature(wind,cold,summer heat,humidity,dryness and fire)simply,or by the endogenous“stagnant heat”combined with the attack of the six factors in nature.In the treatment,by following the principle of dispelling endogenous pathogenic heat according to the circumstances,Chief physician Qiu advocates the use of Shengjiang powder to disperse stagnant heat,ascend lucidity and descend turbidity,harmonize the movement of vital energy,regulate wei-qi-ying-xue,and harmonize tri-jiao.In clinical practice,in accordance with the principle of the“combination of disease and syndrome differentiation”,Shengjiang powder can be used as the basic prescription and varies with the syndrome.It can be applied for the treatment of six syndromes,including Weifen-heat toxin syndrome,syndrome of pathogenic factors invading Shaoyang,syndrome of blocked and excess lung-heat,syndrome of exuberant heat in Yangming,syndrome of exuberant heat in ying blood and syndrome of blocked and excess damp-heat,with formula varied in accordance with signs.At the same time,attention can be paid to the treatment according to circumstances,diet conditioning and body fluid induction.Significant curative effects can be achieved following the aforementioned therapeutic approach in clinical practice.
