Study on the Path and Mode of Applying Folklore to Serve Society——Taking Mr. Ye Dabing’s Applied Folklore as an Example

学术研究要服务于社会和国家的发展需求,而应用民俗学已经成为民俗学研究的主流方向之一。由于民俗学学科领域的广泛性、多样性和复杂性,研究成果转化为应用这一具体的操作和过程仍值得探索和研究。叶大兵是我国早期践行应用民俗的学者之一,早在20世纪中叶他就开始研究区域民俗,后期主要致力于应用民俗研究,突破了当时理论研究的局限,形成了具有鲜明特色的学术理论与实践成果。回顾叶大兵所践行的应用民俗学研究可知,他注重学科研究之方式方法的与时俱进,并以社会服务为目标,与经济、文化、管理等相结合,将文化力转化为社会效益和经济效益,走上了实践应用的道路。总之,叶大兵应用民俗学的提出及其实践路径对我国当代民俗学的发展有着深远影响。

Academic research should serve the development of society and the country, and applied folklore has become one of the mainstream directions of folklore research.Due to the universality, diversity and complexity of the subject area of folklore, the specific operation and process on the transformation of research results into applications are still worth exploring and studying.Ye Dabing is one of the early scholars who has practiced the applied folklore in China. As early as the middle of last century, he began to study regional folklore, and in the later period, he mainly devoted himself to the study of applied folklore.He broke through the limitations of theoretical research at his time and formed academic theories and practical achievements with distinctive characteristics.A review of Ye Dabing’s research shows that he pays attention to keeping pace with the times in research technique and method, takes social service as the goal, combines with economy, culture and management, transforms cultural power into social benefits and economic benefits, and walks on the road of practical application of folklore.In a word, Ye Dabing’s proposal of applied folklore and his practice path have a profound influence on the development of contemporary folklore in China.
