明末名臣王在晋万历年间的仕宦与作为考述

Wang Zaijin’s Official Career and Achievements during the Reign of Wanli in Ming Dynasty

王在晋作为晚明政坛较为活跃且颇有争议的人物,万历二十年进士及第入仕,官至兵部尚书、辽东经略。万历朝是王在晋仕宦生涯中的重要时期,其最初在部院任职,后赴闽省军旅历练,转湖广任参政、督学,又于浙江任藩臬之长,此后相继主政江西、山东。王在晋在万历年间实心任事,颇具政声,逐步成长为主政地方的封疆大吏,为他在泰昌、天启年间于兵部和辽东担任要职奠定了基础。王在晋虽在辽东经略任上因守辽主张而引发争议,但也应结合其生平仕宦活动尤其是他在万历朝所做出的政绩,给予这一历史人物客观、公正的评价。同时,对王在晋仕宦活动的探究也有助于深化对晚明的认识。

Wang Zaijin, as an active and controversial figure in politics in the late Ming Dynasty, entered the ranks of scholars and officials in the 20 th year of Wanli, reaching the rank of minister of the Military Affairs and the strategy of Liaodong district. The reign of Wan Li was an important period in Wang Zaijin’s career as an official. He first served in the Ministry and Academy, then went to Fujian Province for military training, moved to Huguang to participate in politics and supervise the school, and served as a vassal in Zhejiang Province, and then took charge of Jiangxi and Shandong successively. Wang Zaijin was a solid official in Wanli Period, with a strong political voice, and gradually grew into a provincial government official, which laid the foundation for him to hold important positions later. Although Wang Zaijin’s idea of defending Liaodong caused controversy, he deserves an objective and fair evaluation based on his official activities, especially his achievements in Wanli Dynasty. Wang Zaijin’s official activities also contributed to deepening the understanding of the late Ming Dynasty.
