Dilemma of Imbalance--On Modernity Anxiety in Lao She's Divorce

老舍的中篇小说《离婚》书写了小职员老李的离婚风波与烦恼人生,在一定意义上承载了“五四”启蒙观在伦理空间上的意识形态表达。“离婚”这一对封建伦理的巨大挑战,成为老舍进行现代性反思的切入点。小说更呈现了现代人在“诗意”与“常识”失衡下的生存困境,人物在“所思”与“所行”间的失衡状态下,演绎了以现代性焦虑为底色的市民挽歌。文章通过叙事分析的方法,探讨文本中现代性焦虑的成因以及作者所体现的人道主义关怀。

Lao She's novella Divorce that describes the divorce storm and troubled life of Li carries the ideological expression of the“May Fourth Movement”enlightenment in the ethical space.Divorce,a huge challenge to feudal ethics,becomes the starting point for Lao She to reflect on modernity.The novel presents the living dilemma of modern people under the imbalance between“poetic realm”and“common sense”.Under the imbalance between“thinking”and“doing”,the characters in the novel interpret the citizen's elegy based on modernity anxiety.This thesis uses narrative analysis to explore the causes of modernity anxiety in the text and the humanitarian care embodied by the author.
