A Historical Examination of the Experience of the Chinese Communist Party in Adhering to the Chinese Way During Its Century-long Struggle

走自己的路,是中国共产党的全部理论和实践的立足点,更是党百年奋斗得出的基本历史结论。回顾党的百年历史,以毛泽东同志、邓小平同志、江泽民同志、胡锦涛同志、习近平同志为主要代表的中国共产党人始终坚持实事求是的思想路线,始终从中国革命建设和改革发展的实际出发,将马克思主义基本原理同中国具体实际相结合、同中华优秀传统文化相结合,先后开辟了"农村包围城市,武装夺取政权"的中国特色革命道路,开辟了"一化三改"的中国特色社会主义改造道路,制定了"一个中心、两个基本点"的党在社会主义初级阶段的基本路线,中国人民从此走上了中国特色社会主义康庄大道。坚持中国道路是中国共产党在百年奋斗中形成的历史经验,是中国现代化道路、中华民族伟大复兴之路。

Taking our own road is not only the foothold of all the party’s theory and practice, but also the basic historical conclusion drawn by the Party’s century-long struggle. Looking back on the century-long history of the Party, the Chinese Communists, mainly represented by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping, have always adhered to the ideological line of seeking truth from facts, always started from the reality of China’s revolution, construction and reform and development, combined the basic principles of Marxism with the specific reality of China and the excellent Chinese traditional culture, and successively opened up a revolutionary path with Chinese characteristics to besiege the city from the countryside and to seize power by armed force, opened up the socialist transformation road with Chinese characteristics of “one transformation and three reforms”, and formulated the Party’s basic line in the primary stage of socialism of “one center and two basic points”. Since then, the Chinese people have embarked on the broad road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Adhering to the Chinese road is the historical experience formed by the Communist Party of China in its hundred years of struggle and the only way for China’s modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
