The Anthropology of Art written by Robert Leighton,a British anthropologist,which was published 40 years ago,has become famous worldwide and has had a profound impact on the theoretical study of art in China.The book has been translated into Chinese in two previous editions,both of which have provided important references for domestic scholars to understand art anthropology,enlightening and guiding them to explore the path of development and construction of the discipline of art anthropology in China during their theoretical practice.The new translation,based on the experience of previous translations,not only makes targeted improvements,but also makes a breakthrough in the form and style of translation,providing another classic model for researchers in the field to understand Leighton and his work more accurately.
