Objective To explore the effect of tic disorder on children and their parents’ life(study/work,interpersonal relationship, emotion)and so on,to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods The data of children with tic disorder and their parents were collected and evaluated by filling out a questionnaire under the guidance of doctors. Results In the influence on children’s lives, the interpersonal relationship was the least affected, learning was the second, and emotionwas the most prominent. Whether the emotion was affected or not was related to the age of the children(P=0.027). In the influence on parents’ life, emotionwas the most obvious. Whether parents’ life is affected or not is related to the parent-child relationship(P=0.035). Tic disorder affects parents’ anxiety, which is closely related to children’s performance(P=0.006). At the same time, almost all parents are worried about adverse drug reactions. Conclusion Tic disorder has a negative impact on all aspects of life of children and their parents, especially on their emotion.
