As an important method in psychological research, big data and qualitative research have gradually gained research attention and application. At present, the application of big data in psychology focuses on public social events. In the meantime, the application scope of qualitative research in psychology also needs to be expanded.Domestic studies need to pay more attention to and use this method or put forward other research methods for the integrated development of psychology, such as mixed research methods. This study conducted an in-depth demonstration on the application of“qualitative research based on big data”in psychology, analyzed the theoretical basis of this integrated method. On this basis, the current study proposed specific action paths of“qualitative research based on big data”for the first time.Furthermore, this study expounds on the advantages, application status, and future research directions of“qualitative research based on big data”in psychology. In conclusion, the method of“qualitative research based on big data”is helpful to help psychology realize the transformation of integrated disciplines and make psychology play a fundamental and practical role in the occurrence and development of interdisciplinary and solving practical social problems in the future.
