摘要
朱利安·巴恩斯在《时间的噪音》一书中呈现出明晰的空间结构,运用意识流叙事手法以电梯旁、飞机上和汽车里这三个空间整合了苏联作曲家肖斯塔科维奇被迫承受权力规训的三个阶段。巴恩斯在这三重时空中通过并置主题与意象,呈现出权力规训带给肖斯塔科维奇的巨大改变与精神折磨,刻画出作曲家通过竭力构建内在空间以抵抗规训这一美学实践,反映出巴恩斯对历史书写的积极建构态度。
Julian Barnes presents a clear spatial structure in his novel The Noise of Time.By using the narrative technique of"stream-of-consciousness",he integrates the three stages of Shostakovich,a former Soviet composer,who is forced to bear the disciplining of power,with three spaces of elevator,plane and car.Through juxtaposing themes and images in this triple space and time,Barnes shows the great changes and mental torture that power discipline brought to Shostakovich,depicts the aesthetic practice that the composer tries to construct internal space to resist discipline,and reflects Barnes'positive construction attitude towards history writing.
