Crowdsourcing Construction of American Folklore Digital Resource Base: Analysis and Implications

本文通过借鉴美国国会图书馆民俗生活中心美国职业民俗项目,解析该项目丰富的历史经验传承、新颖的队伍设计思路、扎实的科研工作风范、细致入微的技术跟进和严谨科学的伦理机制保障,据此从机制保障、理论基础、内容创新、技术拓展、推广宣传和成果转化等环节,对中国情境下"众包型"民俗文化数字化资源库提出构建设想。

This paper presents a case study of Occupational Folklore Project of the American Folklife Center, and tries to conceive in Chinese context of conducting crowdsourcing project for folklore digitalization, so as to provide implications for the future Chinese folklore digitalization. First, the analysis of multisource literature reveals that Occupational Folklore Project boasts rich historical experiences, novel teamwork, meticulous research, detailed technological support, and full ethical considerations. Then, paths to crowdsourcing digitalized folklore in the Chinese context are designed and proposals regarding diverse aspects like institutional support, theoretical basis, content innovation, technical improvement, promotion and publicity, as well as transformation and application are put forward.
