思想家是在思想的建构创造上颇有建树并以此为业的人,他们建构创造的思想具有开创性、体系性、深邃性、重大性和预见性。思想家对一个民族的存续发展具有重要意义,是民族文明水准的标杆、民族社会发展的精神指引、民族文明火种的保管者和传递者、民族历史进步的重要动力源。评价思想家,尤其在评价其历史贡献和历史地位问题上,应该坚持马克思主义的科学立场和方法:做到必然性和偶然性相统一,时代性与历史性相统一,在个人主观愿望和客观影响之间进行一定的划界,在功与过之间进行一定的划界,在思想和非思想之间进行一定的划界。
