Dahuang Zhechong pill is a classic prescription created by ZHANG Zhong-jing.It has the functions of promoting blood circulation,eliminating symptoms,removing blood stasis and promoting new growth,and relieving middle energizer and tonifying deficiency.A number of experimental studies have shown that this prescription has remarkable curative effect on liver fibrosis.Dahuang zhechong pill can inhibit the formation of extracellular matrix,promote the apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells,regulate the expression of anti-inflammatory factors and TGF-β.The active ingredients such as emodin and paeoniflorin also provide a solid material basis for anti-fibrosis treatment.
