Frequent safety accidents caused by old elevators in urban communities,which are threatening residents’lives and property,have attracted widespread social concerns.Nanhu Street of Wuhan City has effectively solved this problem by preventing and controlling the safety risk of old elevators through demand-oriented,technology embedded,multi-subject interaction,consultation and co-governance,and the cultivation of safety culture,etc.which provides a good example of intelligent governance of public safety in urban communities.
