2021 is the 200 th anniversary of John Keats’death.This article explores the warnings that this English romantic poet delivered in Ode to a Nightingale.In combination with Keats’poetic theories and lifetime,this article investigates Keats’romanticized warnings in Ode to a Nightingale.Keats maintained that poets should have“negative capacities”and avoid egocentrism in their poems.In terms of the methods of poem creation,Keats regarded imagination rather than rational cognition as the driving force of poems.In his poems,Keats warned people of the transitoriness of the time.
