Zheng Junli bases himself on tradition with a tranquil mind,and integrates the modelling rules proper to Chinese painting together with point,line and surface pictorial techniques into Chinese calligraphy,especially the linear shapes unique to Chinese painting.This has led to the blooming of an oeuvre marked by the compositional characteristics of Chinese calligraphy,moist ink,and pictorial vigour.Robust yet elegant,tranquil,magnificent but not wild,Zheng Junli’s works feature an elegant and refined artistic style.
