高校文化资本对区域经济发展的影响研究

Research on the Influence of University Cultural Capital on Regional Economic Development

高校作为高等教育的重要载体,是高素质人才的聚集地,其文化资本水平会直接影响教育质量,关系到教育对经济社会发展的贡献程度。文章基于文化资本理论,构建衡量省域内高校文化资本的指标评价体系,运用我国30个省份2009-2018年面板数据计算其存量并采用空间杜宾模型将高校文化资本对区域经济的影响进行实证研究。结果表明:我国高校文化资本存量呈逐年上升趋势,省域间文化资本存在不平衡现象;高校文化资本对区域经济发展存在正向直接效应和间接效应,其不仅能够推动本地区经济发展,还能通过空间溢出效应推动相邻地区经济发展。

As an important carrier of higher education, colleges and universities are the gathering place of high-quality talents. Their cultural capital level will directly affect the quality of education and the contribution of education to economic and social development. Based on the cultural capital theory, this paper constructs an index evaluation system to measure the cultural capital of colleges and universities within the province, calculates the stock of cultural capital by using panel data of 30 provincial regions from 2009 to 2018, and conducts empirical research on the impact of cultural capital of colleges and universities on regional economy by using spatial Dubin model. The results show that the stock of cultural capital in colleges and universities in China is increasing year by year, and there is imbalance among provinces. The cultural capital of colleges and universities has positive direct and indirect effects on regional economic development, which can not only promote the regional economic development, but also promote the economic development of neighboring regions through spatial spillover effect.
