Artificial intelligence has become the focus of global science and technology competition.Major countries in the world have been improving their global competitiveness of artificial intelligence by issuing new strategies,increasing capital investment and promoting technology R&D and applications.In face of the fierce international competition,the United States has made artificial intelligence development goals that suit its national condition,and taken strong R&D promotion measures,demonstrating development patterns with American characteristics.This paper introduces the development demands of artificial intelligence in the United States,analyzes its development goals and implementation approaches,and summarizes the development characteristics of artificial intelligence in the United States based on strategic traction,innovation means,policy combination,technological leap forward,regulatory measures and so on.
