刘勰之经典观,最为重要的是围绕"言为文之用心"这一宗旨,着力彰显儒家思想中的"尚文"精神传统。这种以论"文"为中心的经典观之构建,一方面得益于儒家五经的"贵文"观念与实践经验,另一方面则深受当时文坛风气之启发。因此,刘勰进一步推进了儒家五经的辞章化,提升了文章的地位,以经典之"雅丽",纠正时文之"淫丽"。

Liu Xie’s view on classics focuses on the purpose of"talking about the intention and ingenuity of writing",highlighting the spirit and tradition of"advocating literature"in Confucian ideas, which is the most important aspect.The construction of this view on classics centered on the discussion of"literature"benefited from the concept and practical experience of"valuing literature"in the Five Classics of Confucianism, and was greatly inspired by the mainstream thought in the literary world at that time. As a result, Liu Xie further publicized the writing skills and selection of words of the Five Classics of Confucianism to improve the status of articles, trying to correct the"decadent beauty(Yinli)"of the popular articles at that time with the"elegant beauty(Yali)"of the classics.
