Mother-sense and the Otherness: Semiological Understanding of Communication from the Perspective of Gift-giving Logic

人类交际活动的有效展开需以类同的心智与一定的语言符号运用能力为基础,这一点应追溯至婴童时期同母亲的互动,这种互动遵循礼物-馈赠逻辑。礼物-馈赠逻辑是一种他者逻辑,他者参与了自我的形成,充分承认并尊重他者的存在及价值,是确保各类交际活动有效展开的重要前提。恰当处理自我与他者(自我与自身、人与人、人与物、不同种族、国别或思想领域之间)的关系是交际活动的重要任务,母亲对幼儿的无私呵护,示范并传递了对话、开放、平等、友爱的交际原则。维尔比夫人的表意学作为以交际为导向的符号理论,内含关于交际问题的若干研究,本文借助沃恩提出的礼物-馈赠逻辑,揭示了表意学通过"母性感知"概念以及他者意识对展开交际之前提的思考。

The effective development of human communication activities should be based on the similar mind and certain language(symbol)using ability. This should be traced back to the interaction with the mother during the childhood, which follows the gift-giving logic. Gift-giving logic is a kind of the otherness logic. The other participates in the formation of the self, adequately recognizes and respects the existence and value of the other, which is an important prerequisite to ensure the effective development of various communication activities. Properly dealing with the relationship between the self and others is an important task of communication activities. Mother’s selfless care of young children demonstrates and conveys the communication principles of dialogue, openness, equality and friendship.As a communication-oriented semiotic theory, Lady Welby’s Significs theory contains several studies on communication.With the help of the gift-giving logic proposed by Vaughn, this paper reveals the reflection of Significs on the prerequisites of communication through the concept of"mother-sense"and the otherness consciousness.
