New Tasks of Hydropower Development in China in the New Era

世界上所有实现高比例的可再生能源电力系统的国家和地区,无一例外都是大量地依靠水电。我国的水能资源储量世界第一,具有实现碳中和的天然优势。近年来,虽然我国水电的发展总体形势一片大好,但也出现了一些亟待解决的新问题。这就是在习近平总书记发布了“长江大保护”的指示之后,社会各界对此的理解出现了一定的分歧,如何科学、准确地理解首长的指示精神以及处理好“碳中和”与各种自然保护区的关系?可以说是我们水电面临的新课题。

All countries and regions in the world that have a high proportion of renewable energy power system,without exception,rely heavily on hydropower.China has the largest reserves of hydropower resources in the world,which also means the natural advantage to realize carbon neutrality.Although the overall situation of hydropower development in China in recent years is excellent,there are new urgent issues to be solved.Especially,disputes arise in the understanding of the instruction on the“Great protection of the Yangtze River”issued by President Xi Jinping.Thus,it is of great importance to accurately grasp the spirit of the instruction,and scientifically handle the relationship between the hydropower development and the carbon neutrality and various natural reserves.
