In the eighteenth year of Hongzhi(1505),the emperor died.He Jingming was ordered to go to the south. It was the Mid-Ming dynasty. The central government gradually strengthened the political and cultural control of the frontier provinces, which reflected the strategies and effects of frontier governance in the Ming dynasty. And to a certain extent,it reflects the social and political ecology of the time.Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, there has been no shortage of records of He Jingming's southbound journey, but most of the documents are brief and divergent from each other. There have been some studies on He Jingming's southbound journey, but there are many errors in it.There has been a lack of comprehensive, accurate and in-depth research on He Jingming's southbound journey. He Jingming wrote more than a hundred poems during his south trip, covering the natural scenery, historical sites, customs and social development in Hubei,Hunan,Guizhou,Yunnan,Sichuan and other regions. This is a record of southern society in the Mid-Ming dynasty. It has precious historical value.Through these poems and articles,He Jingming's one-year journey to the south can be clearly sorted out, which is conducive to the further development of the study of he Jingming, the literature of Ming dynasty and the historical geography of the south.
