DISCOURSE RESHAPING AND CONCEPTUAL EVOLUTION:FROM THE CHINESE NATION TO THE CHINESE NATION COMMUNTTY

准确梳理和认识从中华民族到中华民族共同体的概念流变,有利于准确理解中华民族共同体的内涵,是铸牢中华民族共同体意识的基础性工作。中华民族概念是在近代中国内忧外患的民族危机和话语重塑中产生和发展的,经历了“大汉族主义”“五族共和”“国族主义”等内涵演变。中华人民共和国成立后,民族区域自治制度和民族政策趋向于关注和关怀少数民族“多元”,中华民族概念在相当长的时期内被虚化。新时代以来,习近平提出的“中华民族共同体”是对“中华民族”“中华各民族”“中国各民族”等概念的更高层次表达,是中华民族概念的最优表达。

Accurately sorting out and understanding the conceptual evolution from the Chinese nation to the Chinese nation community is conducive to an accurate understanding of the connotation of the Chinese nation community,and it is the basic work to forge the consciousness of the Chinese nation community.The concept of the Chinese nation has emerged and developed during the national crisis and discourse reshaping of domestic and foreign troubles in modern China,experiencing such connotation evolutions as Great Hanism,Five Ethnic Republics,and Nationalism.After the founding of People's Republic of China,the system of ethnic region autonomy and the ethnic policies tend to pay attention to and care for ethnic groups'diversities,and the concept of the Chinese nation has been weakened for a long time.In the new era,the Chinese nation community proposed by the General Secretary Xi has been a higher-level expression over other concepts such as the Chinese nation,ethnic groups in China,and Chinese ethnic group,and it has become the best expression to the concept of the Chinese nation.
