The Return of Historical Consciousness and Humanistic Care:On Novel Creation in the New Century

历史意识和人文关怀是作家观照现实的两大尺度,历史意识是作家反思历史、考察当下、谱画未来的理性意识,人文关怀则是作家关注人的生存境遇,重视人的价值尊严的责任使命。1990年以来,多元历史意识的泛滥及消费主义文化的诱惑使一些作家遭遇了两大尺度的双重缺失。进入新世纪,作家们纷纷从世纪末文学场的无序状态中苏醒,开始注重在小说创作中兼顾历史意识和人文关怀双重维度。具体表现为重返历史真实,观照人的精神追求和家国情怀;立足当下现实,关注社会转型期底层人民的生存困境;回归自然传统,以“复魅”的历史意识观照人的生存危机。

Historical consciousness and humanistic care are the two big scales for writers to observe reality.Historical consciousness is the rational consciousness for writers to reflect on history,examine the present and draw the future.Humanistic care is the responsibility mission for writers to pay attention to people's living conditions and value human dignity.Since the 1990s,the spread of multiple historical consciousness and the temptation of con‐sumerism culture have caused some writers to encounter the double lack of two dimensions.In the new century,writers began to wake up from the disorder of the literary field at the end of the century,and began to pay attention to the dual dimensions of historical consciousness and humanistic concern in the creation of novels.The concrete manifestation is to return to the historical truth,to observe people's spiritual pursuit and the feelings of home and country;based on the current reality,attention to the survival plight of the bottom people in the social transition period,to return to the natural tradition and to restore the historical consciousness of witchcraft to observe the survival crisis of human beings.
