The Exploration and Practice of the Ideological and Political Education in English-American Literature Teaching

英美文学的人文学科属性决定了英美文学教学与课程思政相生相长、天然契合。立足课程思政内涵,探索英美文学课程的思政改革路径,充分挖掘并合理利用英美文学课程所蕴含的思政教育元素,符合我国新时代“三全育人”战略的客观要求。通过提高教师自身素养、展开中西文化对比、加强批判性教学等尝试手段,帮助学生拓宽文学批评视野、树立中国文化自信,成为具有健全人格、勇于质疑求真的创新性人才,不只从理论层面为英美文学课程的思政改革提供了思路,也从实践层面实现了英美文学专业知识和课程思政资源的有效融合;不仅彰显了英美文学课程的思政育人功能,将高校立德树人工作落到了实处,而且拓展了英美文学教学改革的尝试空间,有利于课程思政建设的进一步推进。

Belonging to the category of humanities,the course,English-American Literature,corresponds to ideological and political education naturally.Based on the concept of“curriculum ideology and politics,”this paper tends to explore the approaches of ideological and political education(such as enhancing teachers’personal qualities,contrasting the Western culture with the Chinese,and intensifying critical thinking)in English-American literature teaching,which satisfies the need of“Three-Full Education”in the new era,in order to help students expand their view of literary criticism,establish confidence in Chinese culture,and grow into innovative talents with healthy personality,query spirit and love of truth.It also demonstrates how the knowledge of literature fuses organically with the ideological and political elements in the given teaching cases.The exploration and practice are expected to at once expand the scope for educational reform in the field and provide a further impetus to ideological and political education in all courses.
