Adverse Effect and Management Strategies of Interferon Therapy

干扰素因其免疫调节、抑制增殖和抗病毒特性而被广泛应用于各种疾病的治疗。干扰素的使用伴随着各种可能的副作用,并且不良反应的发生可能超过干扰素治疗的临床效益。不良反应的发生概率及严重程度与干扰素治疗剂量、用药剂量、频率、和患者个体因素有关。充分了解干扰素的不良反应是临床干扰素推广应用的重要前提。本文就干扰素的不良反应及其病理生理学机制、应对策略进行综述。

Interferon has been widely used in the treatment of medical conditionse for its immunomodulatory, antiproliferative and antiviral properties. Its use is accompanied by a wide variety of possible side effects. Which may outweigh clinical benefit of IFN treatment. The severity of adverse reactions were related to the dose, dosage, frequency and individual factors of interferon therapy. Accordingly, a better comprehension for IFN is prerequisite for its application. This review addresses the adverse effect of IFN, the presumed pathophysiology of the different side effects and the strategies to handle these.
