My View on the Derivation of Han Guzheng--A Comparative Study of Guzheng and Gayageum

战国时期(公元前476年—前221年)起源于秦地的汉族古筝,作为我国传统乐器之一被广为流传至今,同为民族乐器的朝鲜族伽倻琴,在起源、发展、形制、流派及演奏技法等方面与汉族古筝有着密不可分的联系。汉族古筝与朝鲜族伽倻琴两种传统民族乐器在形制、流派、调式及演奏等方面有一定的异同。

In the Warring States Period(476 BC-221 BC), the Han Guzheng, originating in Qin Dynasty, gets widely spread as one of the traditional musical instruments in China. The Gayageum of Korean ethnic group, which is also a ethnic musical instrument, has an inseparable relationship with the Han Guzheng in terms of origin, development, shape, genre and playing techniques. There are some similarities and differences between Han Guzheng and Korean Gayageum in the shape, school, mode and performance.
