改革开放以后地方出版迅速崛起,是新中国出版史的重要现象。作为改革开放前沿阵地的广东,应时而动,扮演了先行者的角色:开启丛刊出版热潮,引领出版界的改革开放;成立一批专业性的出版社,“一社变多社”,朝着专业化的方向发展;积极开展对外合作出版,取得了较好的经济效益。从广东的出版实践来看,这既是一系列因素综合作用的结果,也与国家对出版行业的整体改革思路是一致的。

The rapid rise of local publishing after China's reform and opening up is an important phenomenon in the publishing history of the People's Republic of China.Guangdong which stood at the forefront of reform and opening up catered to the demand of the times and set a pace in the following respects:creating a trend of serial book publishing to lead the reform and opening up of the publishing industry;establishing a number of specialized publishing houses instead of having one publishing house only and enabling these publishing houses to have their specialized areas;and launching cooperation with foreign publishing houses in publishing,which yielded handsome economic benefits.The publishing practice of Guangdong was not only the result of a series of factors combined,but also consistent with the Chinese government's overall guideline for the reform of the publishing industry.
