Bletilla striata(Baiji),as a traditional Chinese medicine,has the effects of bleeding-stopping,swelling-diminishing and promoting granulation.It is widely used clinically to treat spitting blood,coughing blood and traumatic hemorrhage.Baiji has a wide range of pharmacological activities,such as hemostasis,anti-inflammatory and wound healing,and shows good biocompatibility.It is a drug with broad application prospects.The use of safe and efficient wound dressings in daily life is an important condition for wound healing.The research and development of new wound dressings has also become a hot spot in medical and healthcare fields around the world.This review introduces the effective chemical components of Baiji and summarizes its pharmacological activities in wound healing.At the same time,it introduces several new wound dressings using Baiji,and puts forward thoughts and prospects for Baiji's future in the field of biomedical materials.
