Rock and mineral identification plays a vital role in mineral exploration.It can accurately determine the types of minerals in a short time and provide support and guarantee for the exploration,development and utilization of mineral resources.Therefore,the application research of rock and mineral identification in mineral exploration is proposed.This paper explores the concept and development process of rock and mineral identification,combined with the characteristics of rock and mineral identification and its application elements in mineral exploration,and takes a non-metallic mine as an example,uses the experimental method to analyze the application and results of rock and mineral identification in mineral exploration,hoping to make due contributions to the healthy and sustainable development of mineral exploration industry.
