題壁是唐宋時期詩歌的重要傳播方式,長安城則給文人的活動交遊和題壁詩的創作提供了背景空間。唐長安城題壁詩遍及各坊的寺廟、家宅、衙署、驛站、酒樓等地點。參與創作的詩人上至皇帝公卿,下至落第舉子、無名小吏,主要集中於官員階層。其内容記載了詩人不同的人生際遇,包括干謁應制、親友聯絡、遊賞山水等活動,抒發着作者的情愛相思、喜怒哀樂等諸多情感。是爲唐長安城社會生活的生動史料。

Writing poems on the wall was an important way to spread poems during the Tang dynasty.While the living environment of Chang’an promoted the exchange of literati’s cultural activities and provided the background for the creation of poems.There are so many wall scribed poems in Chang’an of Tang Dynasty.They spread over the temple,residence,office,post,restaurants.The authors included emperors,officials,students and so on.These poems record the different life experiences of the poets about the exam,sightseeing,friends communication.They are the vivid historical materials of the social life of Chang’an in Tang Dynasty.
