Innovation Thinking Training and Ability Cultivation of College Students in Civil Engineering Promoted by Structural Design Competitions

Based on the detailed introduction and in-depth analysis of civil engineering structural design competition,this paper discusses the promotion of structural design competition to the cultivation of innovative thinking and innovative ability of civil engineering undergraduates.According to the characteristics of the structural design competition and the demand for the cultivation of civil engineering talents under the background of"new engineering",the basic idea of developing students'innovative thinking and innovative ability training based on the structural design competition is put forward.The analysis shows that the suggestions in this paper are consistent with the national concept of cultivating outstanding engineers in the new era.While helping students establish innovative thinking mode,structural design competition can effectively enhance students'interest and enthusiasm in learning,so as to improve college students'innovative ability.
