Ethical Reflection on Symbolic Illusion

在一个高度抽象的“符号社会”中,符号化生存成为人们的基本生活方式。对符号的崇拜和追逐必然使人们的认知和评价系统发生变化,产生符号迷狂的精神幻象。符号幻象消解了主体自我的真实需求以及存在的原初意义,把人奴役为非理性的商品符号的狂热崇拜者和追逐者,导致人的精神的沦丧、道德信仰的缺失以及主体性的丧失,成为被符号所牵引的木偶,悲情的依靠幻象而活。洞穿符号乌托邦的幻象,回归到理性的轨道,才是超越符号幻象的唯一进路。

In a highly abstract symbolic society,symbolic existence has become people's basic way of life.The worship and pursuit of symbols will inevitably change people's cognition and evaluation system and produce the spiritual illusion of symbol fanaticism.The symbolic illusion has eliminated the real needs of the subject and the original meaning of existence,enslaved people to the fanatical worshippers and pursuers of irrational commodity symbols,leading to the loss of people's spirit,the loss of moral belief and the loss of subjectivity,becoming puppets drawn by symbols and living by the tragic illusion.The only way to transcend the symbolic illusion is to penetrate the symbolic utopia and return to the rational track.
