荀子“涂之人可以为禹”思想及现实关照评析

Comment on Xunzi's thought of“Average Person can be Yu”and its realistic meaning

荀子从人性分析出发,认为人性质朴,后天修养可以改变人性,即“涂之人可以为禹”。荀子认为“涂之人”成为“禹”的关键是个人主动作为,博学修德,去陋至僩,积善为德并身体力行,尊崇礼制、隆礼近师以渐染成人。荀子的人格塑造过程是从现实的人出发,即基于“日用人伦”以增进道德的社会认同,将道德主体的责任自觉放在首位,在此基础上发挥礼制礼义的教化作用,以最终实现“涂之人”成为“禹”的价值目标。这对于我国实施公民道德建设工程,培养时代新人,助力中华民族伟大复兴具有现实借鉴意义。

Starting from the analysis of human nature,Xunzi believes that human nature is simple and that acquired cultivation can change human nature,that is,"people painted can be Yu".Xunzi believes that the key to"Tu Zhiren"becoming"Yu"is to take personal initiative,learn and cultivate morality,go to the worst,accumulate kindness for morality and practice it,respect the ritual system,promote rites and approach teachers,so as to gradually become adults.Xunzi's personality shaping process starts from the real people,is based on the"daily human relations"to enhance the social identity of morality,put the responsibility consciousness of the moral subject in the first place,give full play to the educational role of etiquette and righteousness,and improve the moral level,so as to finally realize the value goal of"Tu Zhiren"becoming"Yu".This is of practical significance for China to implement the construction work of citizen morality,cultivate new people of the era and help the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
