How Knowledge Conversion Affects the Enterprise’s Standardization Capability?——The Mediating Effect of Technological Capability

高水平的标准化能力能够提高企业产品和服务质量,引领产业升级。尽管标准具有知识和技术的双重属性,但是企业的知识转化和技术能力是否影响标准化能力的提升还有待验证。研究基于知识创造理论与吸收能力理论,构建了知识转化、技术能力和企业标准化能力的理论模型,通过问卷调查收集了234家企业数据,并用偏最小二乘法结构方程模型进行数据分析。实证结果显示,内部知识转化有利于企业标准应用能力和标准管理能力的提升,外部知识转化有利于企业标准应用能力和标准产出能力的提升,技术能力在内部知识转化和标准产出能力之间起完全中介效应,技术能力在内部知识转化和标准应用能力、外部知识转化与标准应用能力、标准产出能力之间起部分中介效应。

Quality and standards are closely related, high-level standardization capability can improve the quality of products and services of enterprises, then further lead industrial upgrading. At the same time, a scientific and complete enterprise standardization system is conductive to enhancing management efficiency and expanding economic benefits. However, the standardization capability of different enterprises are not the same, since the standard application, output and management level are not consistent. Cultivating high-level standardization capability of enterprises is not only the requirement of enterprises to build their own competitive advantages, but also the key project of national high-quality development and standardization reform. Standards have the dual attributes of knowledge and technology. As an open innovation system, does the knowledge conversion of an enterprise have an impact on standardization capability? How does it affect? What role does technical capability play between them? The scientific analysis of the mechanism of enterprise knowledge conversion on its standardization capability has significant theoretical and practical significance.As for how to improve enterprise standardization capability, the question is answered from the perspective of knowledge management, combining knowledge creation theory and dynamic capability theory, and the relationship between knowledge conversion and enterprise standardization capability is focused on, as well as the mediating role of technology. First, according to the source of standard knowledge, knowledge conversion is divided into two modes: internal knowledge conversion and external knowledge conversion. As a result, a hypothesis on the relationship between knowledge conversion, technical capability and enterprises standardization capability was put forward. Multi-dimensional verification and analysis of the hypotheses were carried out through questionnaire data and PLS-SEM, in order to clarify knowledge conversion and technical capability for enterprises standardization capability.The main conclusions of the study are: internal knowledge conversion is beneficial to the enhancement of the enterprise standard application capability and standard management capability, the external knowledge conversion is conductive to the improvement of the enterprise standard application capability and standard output capability, besides, the technical capability has a complete mediating effect between the internal knowledge conversion and standard output capability. Technical ability has a partial intermediary effect in the following three aspects: internal knowledge conversion and standard application ability, external knowledge conversion and standard application ability, external knowledge conversion and standard output ability.
