全面抗战时期,加强对外宣传是中国共产党一项十分重要而紧迫的任务。《新华日报》作为党的新闻宣传走向世界的"桥头堡",深度参与和见证了中国共产党早期的对外宣传,为改善和提升中国共产党的国际形象和国际地位做出了重要贡献。《新华日报》的对外宣传,注重以全人类共同价值为依托建构话语体系,以生动事实为基础讲好中国故事,以"借口说话"为策略拓展传播渠道,以内外协同为原则强化议程设置,冲破了国民党的重重封锁,把握了外宣舆论话语权。《新华日报》不仅开创了革命战争年代对外宣传的崭新局面,而且集中展示了"胸怀天下"这一中国共产党百年奋斗历史经验,也为当前的外宣工作提供了重要启示。

It was an important and urgent task for the CPC to enhance external publicity during the comprehensive war against the Japanese invasion.As the"bridgehead"for the CPC publicity to go global,Xinhua Daily was deeply involved and witnessed the external publicity in the early stage of the CPC,and made significant contribution to the improvement of CPCs international image and status.The external publicity conducted by Xinhua Daily focused on building a discourse system based on the common value of all human kind.It told China’s stories with vivid facts and expanded communication channels with the tactic of"speaking with a borrowed mouth",enhanced agenda setting with external-internal collaboration.It succeeded in breaking through the brocade of the Kuomingtang Party and secured the dominant voice in external publicity.Xinhua Daily opened up a new vista for external communication in the revolutionary era.It showcased the CPC’s historic experience of"being inclusive"in its century-long struggle and is a source for inspiration for the current work of external publicity.
